Autumn slowly: small rituals for short days
Sdílet
For me, autumn is the best season for slowing down. The days are getting shorter, the light is softer, and one suddenly feels the urge to curl up under a blanket with a book and a mug of something warm. I've written down a few small rituals that make these days nicer for me. Perhaps you'll find one you like, too. 🍂
1. Morning coffee without the rush
The first ten minutes of the day just for yourself. A mug, a window, and silence. No news, no scrolling. It’s strange how much that changes the whole day. And if you still feel bored, try reading at least a few pages of a book.
2. Write a postcard, just because
When was the last time you received something nice in the mail? Write a few lines to a friend, your grandmother, or yourself in the future. A handwritten message has a charm that no text message can replace.

3. An autumn walk with your eyes wide open
Take a small notebook with you, or just your phone for photos, and collect colors. A yellow maple leaf, rusty chestnuts, mist over the meadow. At home, you can turn them into a small mood board.
4. A reading nook that invites you in
It doesn't take much: a blanket, a pillow, a lamp with warm light, and a stack of books you're looking forward to. And an illustration on the wall that draws you into the story before you even open the first page.
5. A slow evening with no plans
One evening a week where you don't have to do anything. Bake something with apples, put on your favorite movie, draw, read, or just look out the window. Resting is important work, too.
I've written down more ideas for you in the autumn issue. You'll find tips on how to be more offline, enjoy autumn, what to read, what to bake, and simply just be :) The magazine is a tiny A6 size, perfect for traveling and replacing screen time.

What is your favorite autumn ritual? Write to me; I’d love to read what makes autumn nicer for you. 🤍

I've put together a playlist on Spotify of my favorite songs for all phases of autumn – from bright days with the first colorful leaves to those shrouded in mist, when you just want to wander with your headphones on, or, conversely, snuggle up under a blanket. 🍂🎧✨.
